After over four decades of business in Cincinnati, OH, Gold Star Chili opened its new state-of-the-art facility on April 22, 2002. The 35,000 square foot building located 650 Lunken Park Drive was developed to house the company's corporate offices, commissary and warehouse groups. The facility was opened in two phases with the corporate staff and the warehouse group in phase one and the commissary following in phase two.
Gold Star Chili officially opened the new commissary on Thursday, December 9, 2004, doubling the company's chili-making capabilities. The new commissary is able to produce up to 7.5 tons of chili per day to distribute to its restaurants in the tri-state. "Gold Star Chili now has more than 100 restaurants in the tri-state area, said John Sullivan, Gold Star Chili's President and CEO. We simply outgrew the old location in Mt. Washington, which was built in 1965. Gold Star Chili continues to be the only Cincinnati style chili produced in the City of Cincinnati.
The new Gold Star Chili complex is a concrete expression of our Vision "Take It One Better...Every Day" signifying a solid future for the company. The building is a first class facility for our employees that will make it possible for Gold Star Chili to provide optimal efficiency in supporting our franchisees, associates and customers.
