Gold Star Chili Relocates Corporate Office to New State of the Art Facility

CINCINNATI, Ohio - (April 22, 2002) - Gold Star Chili was officially open for business in its new state-of-the-art facility on Monday, April 22, 2002. The 35,000 square foot building located at 650 Lunken Park Drive will eventually house the company’s corporate office, commissary and warehouse groups all under one roof.

The warehouse will be moving to the new facility by the end of June 2002 and the commissary will be incorporated in the next 1-2 years. Gold Star will continue to be the only Cincinnati style chili produced within the City of Cincinnati.

"The new Gold Star Chili complex is a concrete expression of a solid future for our company," stated Gold Star CEO, John Sullivan. "The building is a first class facility for our employees that will allow us to provide optimal efficiency in supporting our franchisees. Taste tests conducted by the Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati Magazine, as well as a large-scale taste test conducted by an independent research company indicates that the taste of Gold Star Chili is favored above all other local brands of Cincinnati-style chili
