LAKOTA SCHOOLS HELP OPEN NEW GOLD STAR CHILI ON

TYLERSVILLE ROAD

CINCINNATI, Ohio - (April 25, 2002) - Gold Star Chili opened its newest restaurant on Tylersville Road on Friday, April 19, to students at Lakota School’s Wokini Academy.

The students participated in a "Team Take Over" at a special pre-opening VIP night, where there was a dinner for Wokini Academy students, teachers, VIP guests and the media. Remarks by CEO John Sullivan, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a celebration also took place that night.

Gold Star rewarded these students for their exemplary efforts in school. The Wokini Academy is a new alternative high school program designed for students who need something other than a traditional school setting. The students in attendance Friday night were being rewarded for their higher grades, better connections with school and success in school and work.

The restaurant opened to the general public on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. The new restaurant is one of Gold Star Chili’s new prototypes with a unique interior design, mahogany wood highlights, seating for 82 and a drive-thru. The former Gold Star Chili was torn down, and the unique new prototype building was erected in its place.

The new Gold Star Chili is located at 7659 Tylersville Rd. in West Chester, Ohio off I-75 exit #22.
