NEW GOLD STAR CHILI OPENS ON

RIVER’S EDGE DRIVE IN MILFORD

CINCINNATI, Ohio - (July 10, 2002) - Gold Star Chili opened its newest restaurant on River’s Edge Drive in Milford on Monday, June 24, to the Milford Eagles high school baseball team.

The students participated in a "Team Take Over" at a special pre-opening VIP night, where there was a dinner for team members, coaches and VIP guests. Remarks by Mike Mason, director of operations, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a celebration also took place that night.

Gold Star rewarded the Eagles team for their outstanding work during the season. This year, coach Tom Kilgore and his team did many unprecedented things, like winning their conference, claiming a regional championship, winning 18 games in a row, and making it to the state finals. After being underestimated before the season by the local critics, the team bonded together and made it the most successful year in the school’s history while giving the Milford community something of which to be very proud.

The restaurant opened to the general public on Tuesday, June 25. The new restaurant is one of Gold Star Chili’s new prototypes with a unique interior design, mahogany wood highlights, seating for 82 and a drive-thru.

The new Gold Star Chili is located at 85 River’s Edge Drive in Milford.
