NEW GOLD STAR CHILI OPENS ON

HARSHMAN ROAD IN DAYTON, OH

CINCINNATI, Ohio - (July 12, 2002) - On Wednesday, July 10, Gold Star Chili opened its newest restaurant on Harshman Road in Dayton, Ohio, to the Riverside Fire Department.

The local fire department participated in a "Team Take Over" at a special pre-opening VIP night, where there was a dinner for fire fighters and VIP guests. Remarks by CEO John Sullivan, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a celebration also took place.

Gold Star honored the Riverside Fire Department for its ongoing service to the community. The department conducts fire prevention seminars at all of the Mad River local schools and recently has been visiting younger grades and reading books to them about the importance of fire safety. Whether it’s conducting random safety checks on local businesses, or participating in any local festival or community events, the Riverside FD is always willing to help.

The restaurant opened to the general public on Thursday, July 11, at 10 a.m. The new restaurant is one of Gold Star Chili’s new prototypes with a unique interior design, mahogany wood highlights, and a drive-thru.

The new Gold Star Chili is located at 3034 Harshman Rd located in Dayton, OH, about three miles off I-75 on the Needmore Road exit.
