NEWEST GOLD STAR OPENS IN MAYSVILLE

MAYSVILLE, Kentucky - (December 2, 2003) - Gold Star Chili announced its newest restaurant in Maysville, Kentucky, by inviting the Mason County High School Y-Club to  take over  the brand new site on December 2, 2003.

Gold Star Chili has been a part of the Maysville community since 1993 when it opened a restaurant at 1555 U.S. 68. The restaurant was relocated to a freestanding building with drive-thru, larger dining room, and additional parking. Gold Star Chili is looking forward to offering its Maysville customers a bigger and modern facility.

Gold Star Chili’s Team Take Over program recognizes organizations that have achieved despite challenges. The Mason County High School Y-Club is a school-based organization that promotes service, leadership and character development through student-organized service to the school and community. Y-club members are encouraged to target real-life problems and find ways to be part of their solutions. The club completes service projects for Mason County throughout the school year as well as participating in programs designed to promote leadership building skills and cultural awareness including Peer Mentoring, Character Development Camps, YMCA Youth & Government Conferences and the Kentucky National Assembly.

Franchise owners are Mike and Ryan Kassis. The new restaurant is located at 237 Wal-Mart Way.
