Gold Star Chili Commercials Now Feature Local "Get Lost in the Taste" Contest Winners CINCINNATI, OH—June 15, 2007— Gold Star Chili is raising the temperature of its "Get Lost in the Taste" contest by featuring two new contest-winning bands in radio commercials set to air next week. The commercials will promote menu favorites—Root Beer Float and Footlong Cheese Coney—available for a limited time starting Monday, June 18. The newest bands to be showcased in “Get Lost in the Taste” commercials are Cincinnati favorites, The Kevin Fox band and The LabMonkeys. Gold Star chose them out of nearly 30 entries. Initially, the plan was to select one winner for an upcoming commercial, but both groups submitted such amazing songs, Gold Star couldn’t choose just one. The "Get Lost in the Taste" campaign launched in April and encourages aspiring singers and songwriters – young and old – who love the taste of Gold Star Chili to show-off their talents by writing a song about it. The winning contestant will receive $1,000, and the chance to have his or her song featured in an upcoming commercial. Gold Star is encouraging hopefuls to submit their entries before the end of the year. "Cincinnatians take their Gold Star Chili seriously," said Lori Busse Hubbard, director of marketing for Gold Star Chili. "This campaign celebrates that passion and energy people have for our chili and gives them a way to express it with a song. We've been thoroughly impressed with our submissions thus far and look forward to hearing what else Gold Star fans come up with." New Menu Items To help customers continue to get lost in the taste, Gold Star Chili is also adding three new items to its menu on June 18:
