Gold Star Chili has a long-standing relationship with the fire departments of the Greater Cincinnati area – chili-lovers all. Our signature event to support these heroes is a cash donation honoring the “Greater Cincinnati Firehouse of the Year.” The award is presented annually to a fire department that demonstrates a team effort and dedicates a significant amount of time to promote fire safety and prevention within its community.

Gold Star Chili surprised the Springfield Township Fire Department (STFD) with the 2008 Greater Cincinnati Firehouse of the Year Award. Springfield Township’s firefighters were selected from more than 20 nominations. The department’s outstanding fire prevention education programs and unrivaled team spirit made them a clear winner in 2008.
