Gold Star donates the company gift cards to Goodwill each year. These are used by the organization's life skill coaches who take Goodwill workers out into the community to teach them basic skills that they never learned as children, i.e.: How to shop for groceries, how to take our a book at the library, how to order a meal at a restaurant. The donated gift cards are used by the coaches to pay for lunch at this type of learning sessions conducted in Gold Star Chili restaurants throughout the region.
